Synthetic fuels’ biggest draw is that unlike fossil fuels, the C02 they release into the atmosphere when burned in an engine is virtually equal to the amount taken out of the atmosphere to produce the fuel thus making them CO2-neutral overall. To sweeten the deal, ICE vehicles do not require any modifications to run on e-fuels, which can also be transported via existing fossil fuel logistics networks. Further, synthetic fuels can be blended in fossil fuels or can completely replace them in existing ships, airplanes or industrial technologies.
The Invisible People At Church
What makes the church EVIL to me: Here it is in a nutshell.
1. When you are an addict (using an addictive substance like alcohol)
AA is appropriate.
2. When you have a family member who is an addict and drives the whole family crazy: Alanon is appropriate for relatives of addicts.
There are third and fourth categories:
3. When your parents were “users”: Adult Children of Addicts is appropriate. Its not that you have a family member “using” right now. Its that you have ACE (Adverse Childhood Experience) and ACA is the appropriate group.
4. What if “religion” and “religiosity” were the addictions? Or any other weird non-normative weirdness (Shame? Incest? Sexual abuse? Emotional abuse?) Not addictive substances?
Adult Children of Dysfunctional Families is the appropriate group. ACDF. That’s also ACA.
Church doesn’t care about the difference between any of these things. They think you are all drunks and treat you that way. Shame on you. If you just stop sinning all will be well. ITS A LIE.
Good Morning, Puddle.

Space for Solar Energy
“Solar farms need huge tracts of land to operate at scale, and there is often fierce competition for those parcels, driving up prices for solar developers”….
Dividing the population of the US by 2.5 persons per household yields 133 million households in the US. Multiplying 133 million by 6000 square feet (the size of an average suburban plot of land) yields essentially 800 billion square feet occupied by a single family home ‘primary residence’. This does not account for high-rise multifamily living or space used for streets, schools, businesses, etc. but it helps bring land use into perspective.
A square mile is 5280 x 5280 feet, or roughly 28 million square feet. Dividing 800,000,000,000 by 28,000,000 yields around 28,600 square miles. A ‘standard’ county is about 40 miles by 40 miles, or 1600 square miles, however most counties don’t quite get that large. Dividing 28,600 by 1600 square miles yields slightly less than 18 counties. Taking the square root of 28,600 yields a distance of roughly 170 miles. Therefore a square 170 miles by 170 miles within the US would be enough to house everyone living in the country. The ‘lower 48 states’ is roughly 3000 miles east to west times 1500 miles north to south, or about 4,500,000 square miles. Texas alone is roughly 800 miles x 800 miles.
More than one million square miles of land in the United States is used for either cattle pasture or growing forage for livestock (soybeans, alfalfa, hay, etc.). The combination of ‘lab grown meat’ (meaning meat equivalent cultured in vats), ‘milk’ produced by microorganisms, and leather substitute cultured from bacteria puts livestock on the list of industries targeted for downsizing. All of this already exists – none of it is speculative.
If the typical home allocates 500 square feet per resident, then the ‘average’ home is 1250 square feet. Each resident needs about 30Kwh of electricity per day, which translates into 6000 watts of solar panels, or roughly 300 square feet (6000 watts x 5 hours = 30Kwh). Therefore, the home should have 750 square feet of panels. In the bigger picture, this means that the area used by panels is less than the area occupied by the resident within the home, not to mention the area of the housing lot.
The biggest ‘waste of space’ in urban areas is parking lots. Other bits of urban real estate that might be attractive for covering with solar panels are drainage ditches and/or power line right of ways. In rainier areas land is set aside for retention ponds, which could also be covered. This is before any discussion of abandoned houses or ‘second homes’ used by snow birds, etc.
The US has plenty of room for panels. These panels could be situated entirely within urban areas and still be adequate to power the entire country. However, the ‘best use’ is, most likely, in conjunction with agriculture, since it has been demonstrated repeatedly that solar panels actually enhance agricultural productivity.
Walking Away? Ok, Then.

Love Dare, Day 1. Patience
Recently someone really dumped on me. I didnt react. I just accepted it. And didnt strike back. I think it was unfair. No matter. I can live with the person unfairly treating me, and not strike back. It hurts a lot. I want to shrink. And i feel petulant and passive aggressive. And i really have to fight that urge. Its humiliating to be treated that way.
But…i love that person. Be ause of that my greatest need here is to just be patient. Now, if I could just react this way with my wife!!!! No, it wasnt my wife dumping on me. But … she defended me. That was huge!!!!!. It made me feel warm towards her instead of cold and angry.
Assigning someone to manage a DNA test.
A test owner is the person whose DNA is reflected in the test results. An owner can assign someone else to manage their test.
A test manager can do everything an owner can do, including invite others to view the test, delete the test results, and download the DNA Data. An owner can remove a manager from their test at any time. A manager cannot remove an owner.
Making someone a manager is useful when the owner is either not interested in managing their own results or is unable to manage their test.
Inviting a manager
- From any page on Ancestry, click the DNA tab and select Your DNA Results Summary.
- On your DNA homepage, click Settings in the top-right corner.
- On the DNA Settings page, scroll down to the Visibility and sharing section and select DNA test sharing.
- If you’ve never shared your results with the person you’re inviting to manage your test, click Invite and go to the next step. If you’ve shared your results with them before, click their role and change it to Manager. After changing their role, enter your password and click Assign Role. Skip the rest of the steps below. You’ll receive an email when the person accepts their role as manager.
- Enter their email address or Ancestry® username, select Manager, and choose Invite. Whether you enter their email address or username, the invitation will be sent by email.
- When your invitation is accepted, you’ll receive an email letting you know.
Where the managed test appears
Unless the test is deleted, a DNA test always remains on the account on which it was activated (the owner’s account). When someone becomes a manager, the owner’s test appears on both the manager’s account and on the owner’s account, on each person’s DNA homepage. The manager can access the test they manage by clicking View Another Test from their own DNA homepage.

Memberships
A membership purchased on one account does not transfer to another account. If you manage someone else’s DNA test on your account and your account has a membership, you can access the DNA features of their test that are available with a membership. If you manage someone else’s test on your account and you don’t have a membership (but they do), you don’t have access to the features available only with a membership.
Why the lady in the CS Lweis group is so disturbing when she puts her hatred of MAGA people as a Christian doctrine.
Quoting someone…
Some understanding is connected to the reason that sowing discord among the brethren is listed as the 7th and most abominable of all sins in the Scripture. Why? Because Lucifer acted upon his private usurpatious thoughts by drawing away 1/3 of the angels after him. Thus, sowing discord – going public with evil and causing others to stumble – is the well-spring of every evil thing that has ever happened on this planet…thus, in God’s view, a sin worse than murder. (Proverbs 6:16-19)
Why the CS Lewis group can be toxic.
Romans 14 … unimportant trivial controversies … entires swathes of citizens of a country were mentioned as horrible … no explanation … no logic…
and you cant say “just stop”. You cant even mention that Uncle Screwtape taught his nephew Wormwood how to divide christians by causing trivial controversies to divide and distract. A perfect Scewtape strategy!!!!!
CS Lewis talked about the church being a hallwsy with many rooms. But Romans 14 would throw cold water on someone in room A rallying everyone in the room to be upset with the folks in room B, all because of a personal opinion about room B. Based on a purely secular value system.
And placing the secular matter above the bible itself.
This is the immaturity spoken of the fellow who mentions “we are an international group.”
Would it be true that this Screwtape Strategy is seen all around the world?
Im not so sure it is just one country that exhibits this. I’d have to take his word for it. I myself only know of the one instance.
Its About Forcing You To Say They Are Special.

Nobody will react well to being bullied against their consent. Everyone I talk to on the street complains about small town pride “shit” that denies pride in your own lifestyle – you are not allowed to have pride in your own culture – only theirs. Then you realize they HATE you and your children the way Hitler and Himmler hated Jews. And masses plan to resist at all levels. So TARGET MUST DIE becomes a little marble that rolls around in the back of your head and you begin to wish their pride supporters to fall into perditon, knowing you will laugh as you piss on the graves of the ones who stole the rainbow.

Sold UTG

I sold 100 shares of UTG after reviewing 10 year total return. The orange curve lags far behind other income investments. I hate to be a trader but the fund’s strategy indicated too much risk. And in one monthI already have a whole years worth of dividend.
Sometimes paying attention to industry chatter actually pays off.
Now I can rotate some more.
Distinguished Names in InDesign Documents
I decided to create a character style in InDesign for formatting what I call a Distinguished Name. (A DN)
Whats a DN? It is a tuple consitsing of <First name> <GID> [<Middle Name] [Surname]
Example: David 32.1 Girlington
That means I am a 32nd generation Girlington and the first one in the index.
You can call me 32.1 for short
The above number, BTW, is not accurate. I am just too lazy to look up the actual number.
Or in my patrilineal line I am just 8.1 with no letter prefix. My oldest (American born) ancestor (1.1) with my patrilineal surame was 8 generations ago.
So, every place a DN appears it will have a special style applied to make it stand out in the text. Having defined the style in one place, if I redesign the style it automatically changes every DN in the entire document.
Unlike Genetic Genealogists
Some insist that anthropologists need to know how an ancient human may have chosen to identify themselves.
It’s all in the DNA.
Surely You are Joking, Mr Lightman.

When an atheist (Mr.X.) declares to you “I don’t care what Alan Lightman thinks about God” you know you are talking to a narcissist.
Why?
Because Alan Lightman, to the best of my knowledge, doesn’t think anything at all about God. He isn’t a theist.
https://news.mit.edu/2021/pondering-unknowable-alan-lightman-0305
Mr X, the narcissist, is either lying or he is an idiot.
Alan Lightman isn’t talking about God and religion. He is talking about physics.
The real question about what atheism is: what does atheism really have to say to humanity? Atheists need to explain the following: “How do you know thought and mind does not exist? And if it does not, isn’t your religious world view then nihilism? Is the logical conclusion of reductionism nihilism?”
Nihilism means if thought does not exist then minds do not exist. if minds do not exist then humans do not exist. The human race does not exist. its a fantasy. and values do not exist. Love, hate, justice, hope, all these are fantasies because none of them really exist. They are figments of the imagination and have no reality.
“Well, gee, batman”, a student mutters under his breath, “the trans person with hurt feelings is just going to have to lump it, aren’t they?”
What do nihilists really have to say to humanity? Nothing. They add no value. Values do not exist in their world view.
That doesnt answer the question of, “Is the logical conclusion of reductionism nihilism?”
Atheists aren’t talking. They do not know. They rage against theists on the basis of, well, as far as I can tell, a basis of ignorance. I think Jonathon Haight describes it best. They have a preconceived conclusion, really just a moral belief, and they are looking for evidence to shore up their belief. What Jonathon Haight calls “the elephant and the rider problem.” There is a cognitive dissonance in that process, and also a dishonesty.
Alan Lightman, by contrast, ponders the unknown and the unknowable and attempts to label them. That is why is is so hilarious that Mr X boldly declares “I don’t care what Alan Lightman says about God.”
Potholes and Gospel Difficulties in HamsterTown

- Hear the Gospel (Romans 10:17)
- Believe the Gospel (Hebrews 11:6)
- Repent of Sins (Acts 2:38)
- Confess Faith in Christ (Acts 8:37)
- Be Baptized(Acts 22:16)
- Believe Genesis is 100% Literal (Hamm 17:12)
Wait a minute … that last one isn’t in the bible, is it?
Yes, I know there are a bunch of people who believe #6, but I’m not buying it because it is added to the scriptures by the flawed minds of men.
There is a difference between being true and being literal. Don’t fall into a pothole.
