Some understanding is connected to the reason that sowing discord among the brethren is listed as the 7th and most abominable of all sins in the Scripture. Why? Because Lucifer acted upon his private usurpatious thoughts by drawing away 1/3 of the angels after him. Thus, sowing discord – going public with evil and causing others to stumble – is the well-spring of every evil thing that has ever happened on this planet…thus, in God’s view, a sin worse than murder. (Proverbs 6:16-19)
