I wanted to use a wordpress based book layout manager that allows backups and flexibility. I was looking at Bluehost and running my own server. But I wanted to install Pressbooks on my home server first. I could never get the plugins to work. Pressbooks seems to be a great option. It is letting me focus on writing the book rather than on fiddling with software or configuring wordpress.

I intend to publish digital PDF books which distribute on DVD or are downloadable. So far the results look pretty good. Organizing and laying out a book is a challenge in and of itself.

A book has fixed organization as compared to a website. So my genealogical site is left neglected.
